支持中国科学家、公共卫生从业者及医务人员抗击COVID-19的声明


我们是公共卫生领域的科学家,始终密切关注2019冠状病毒病(COVID-19)的发生和发展,也对该疾病给全球人类健康福祉带来的影响深感担忧。同时,我们也看到特别是中国的科学家、公共卫生从业者和医务人员,务实、高效、迅速查明病原体,采取重大措施降低疫情影响,并与全球健康界分享成果,做到信息透明化。他们不懈的努力值得称赞。

 

通过签署此声明,我们愿和所有继续在COVID-19暴发期间拯救生命、守护全球卫生的中国科学家及健康工作者团结在一起。疫情面前,我们同舟共济,与奋战在一线的中国同僚共同抗击这种新型病毒的威胁。

 

此次疫情期间,数据信息做到迅速、公开、透明化共享,但却在当下遭受有关疾病起源的谣言和虚假信息的不良影响。我们在此一同强烈谴责“认为COVID-19并非自然起源”的阴谋论。世界多国的科学家都分析了病原体“严重急性呼吸综合征冠状病毒2型(SARS-CoV-2)”的基因组,并公开发表了分析结果[1],压倒性地得出一致结论,即此种冠状病毒起源于野生动物[2-10],这和其他许多新发病原体一样[11, 12]。这项结论更是进一步得到了美国国家科学院、工程院、医学院的院长们[13]及其所代表的科学界人士的来信支持。阴谋论除了在抗击疫情期间制造威胁全球团结力量的恐慌、谣言、偏见外,一无是处。我们支持世界卫生组织(WHO)总干事的呼吁,要推进科学论证和团结,拒绝谣言与揣测 [14]。我们希望所有的读者以及中国所有科研和医务人员知道:在这场病毒阻击战中,我们与你们同在
